Took over his family's roofing shop in 2018. Six years as a foreman before that. Builds Ansa the way he wishes someone had built it for him.
Built by people who ran the trucks.
Two ex-contractors, one ex-Twilio engineer, and a phone line that doesn't sleep. We're building the receptionist every trade shop wishes it could afford.
Why we started Ansa.
Ansa started in 2024, in a 12-truck roofing shop's back office in Tulsa. Our co-founder Mike had been a foreman for fifteen years before taking over the family business; he'd watched the office line ring on a stormy Saturday and known — in the same way you know the sound of your own truck pulling in — that two of those calls were going to a competitor.
He'd tried hiring a front desk. Twice. Both quit. The answering service in Dallas read scripts from a binder and asked customers to spell their last name. By the time Mike showed up at a job, the homeowner had already called three more roofers, and one of them had picked up.
We built Sarah to be the receptionist Mike couldn't keep on payroll. She picks up in under two seconds, books the job into ServiceTitan, and texts the recap before the customer pulls out of the driveway. She doesn't go to lunch. She doesn't quit in November because her husband got transferred.
Today she answers calls for 800+ shops across roofing, plumbing, HVAC, veterinary, law, and a dozen other trades — every state, every weeknight, every storm.
Where we are today.
Who's behind Ansa.
A small team, half ex-trades, half ex-software. We've all worked a dispatcher's desk at some point.
Built telephony infrastructure at Twilio for seven years. Voice systems, real-time call routing, the kind of plumbing that doesn't quit at 9 PM.
Three years booking jobs at her father's HVAC shop, three at the Tulsa World. Writes the playbook series and runs our customer-success team.
