Before you cancel
Three things are worth knowing first:
1. Inside your first 14 days? You can get your first payment back in full with Cancel and refund on Billing. Read the 14-day money-back guarantee before you click anything, because the regular Cancel subscriptionlink doesn't refund.
2. Your Ansa number goes away. When your paid period ends, the account closes and the number Sarah answers on is released back to the carrier. It can't be recovered, and Ansa can't transfer it to another carrier, so customers who have it from Sarah's confirmation texts will no longer reach you on it. Questions about it? Email hello@tryansa.ai before you cancel.
3. Want a different plan instead? Switching between Self-serve and Done-for-you is done by email, not by cancelling. See Plans, prices, and switching.
How to cancel
Open Billing
It's in the sidebar under Account. Below your plan details, click Cancel subscription. Inside your first 14 days, Cancel and refund sits above it.
Confirm
The first screen, Cancel your subscription?, explains that Sarah keeps answering until your current billing period ends, and that your account then closes and your Ansa number is released. It doesn't refund the current period. Click Continue, or Keep my plan to back out.
Pick a reason
On Help us understand why, choose the closest reason, add a note if you like, and click Cancel subscription. That's it. There is no call to make and no offer to sit through.
Your plan card then shows Subscription ends with the date service stops, in place of the next invoice.
You can also cancel by email. Write to hello@tryansa.ai from the email address on your account, with "Cancel Subscription" in the subject line.
What happens, and when
When you cancel:your plan stops renewing. You aren't refunded for the month you're in, so Sarah keeps answering, booking and alerting you as usual until that month ends.
When the paid period ends:Sarah stops answering, the account closes, and your Ansa number is released. A closed account is read-only. You can still sign in, look at your history and download your data, but changes can't be saved and the account can't be restarted from Billing.
About 30 days after the account closes: your account data is deleted.
Changing your mind
Changed your mind? Email hello@tryansa.ai before the date shown next to Subscription ends on Billing, while your account and your number are still active. There's no button to undo a cancellation yourself, and once the account has closed it can't be restarted from Billing.
Undo your call forwarding
Your business phone keeps forwarding calls to your Ansa number (every call, or only the ones you miss, depending on the mode you set up) until you turn that off. Once Sarah stops answering, those callers reach a number that no longer picks up. Undo it on the day service ends:
1. AT&T, T-Mobile, US Cellular: dial ##21# if you forwarded every call, or ##004# if you forwarded only the calls you miss, from your business phone.
2. Landline: dial *73from the landline itself. If your provider set up forwarding on busy or no answer for you, turn it off in your provider's account or ask your provider.
3. Verizon: dial *73 from the phone you forwarded.
4. Google Voice or another VoIP service:clear the forwarding number in your provider's dashboard.
If you set forwarding in your phone's settings instead of with a code, switch it off there.
Then call your business number from a different phone. It should ring and behave the way it did before you set up Ansa.
Your data after cancelling
Ansa builds a download bundle of your account data automatically when you cancel, and a final one when your account closes: your call log with the transcripts Ansa still holds, your bookings, and the record of what Sarah learned. You get a Your data export is ready alert with a link, and the bundle also appears in the Your data exports card on Billing.
The download link works for 7 days, and you can generate a fresh one from Billing. See Getting a copy of your data for what's inside and how to open it.
Bookings Sarah already wrote into your calendar or CRM stay there. They live in your own account, not Ansa's. If you want your Ansa data deleted sooner, email hello@tryansa.ai.
Troubleshooting
I don't see a Cancel subscription link.
Cancel subscription only shows once Sarah is live. Before that, Billing shows Cancel and refundinside your first 14 days, which cancels straight away and refunds your first payment. After the 14 days it says "To cancel your plan, email hello@tryansa.ai."
If your last payment failed, Billing shows Your subscription is on hold, with its own cancel option. Cancelling from there stops your subscription from renewing. Sarah stays paused, and 14 days later your account closes and your Ansa number is released. Until then Billing shows Your account is closing with the date.
Still nothing? Cancel by email to hello@tryansa.ai.
Can I get a partial refund for the rest of the month?
No. Outside the first 14 days, cancelling stops future charges and Sarah keeps working until the period you paid for ends.
Callers say my line goes nowhere after I cancelled.
Your forwarding is still on. Dial the undo code for your carrier from the list in Undo your call forwarding, then test from a different phone.
