Which alerts you get, and where.

Every alert lands on your Notifications page. Each one also goes out once, by text or by email, depending on one switch in your Profile.

Where alerts go

Every alert Ansa sends is written to your Notifications page in the dashboard. On top of that, each alert goes out on one channel:

By text, to the Mobile phone on your Profile, if you turned on Text alerts.
By email, to your account's email address, if Text alerts are off or no Mobile phone is saved.

It is one or the other, never both. If you don't see an alert on your phone, check your inbox, and the other way around.

Which events send an alert

Alerts are about things you need to know or act on. Ansa does not send a message after every call. To see every call, open the Calls page.

About calls (these link to the call):
New booking: Sarah booked a job. If the booking couldn't be written to your calendar or CRM yet, the alert says so and tells you whether to wait or add it by hand.
A caller needs a call back: a caller asked for a callback or left a message, or Sarah flagged the call as urgent. Urgent ones start with "Ansa URGENT".
New lead: Sarah captured a lead.

About your account: Reconnect your CRM, Your receptionist is live, Usage notice (you reached 80% of a usage cap), Your receptionist is paused, Your card was declined, Payment received, Texting approved, Texting registration needs attention and What Sarah learned.

Weekly: Your week, the weekly summary.

In the app only: Your business number is ready and Your data export is ready appear on the Notifications page and are never texted or emailed as alerts.

Turning on text alerts

Only the account owner can change this setting.

  1. Check your Mobile phone

Open Profile and look at Mobile phone("Texts from Sarah go here"). It must be a cell that can receive texts. Ansa doesn't send a code to confirm it, so a typo means texts go nowhere.

  2. Switch on Text alerts

In the Text alerts section, turn on Text me alerts about my calls and bookings. It saves right away and shows "Text alerts are on."

  3. Pick what comes by text

A Text me about list appears. See the next section.

To stop texts, switch the same setting off. Alerts then come by email and in the app.

Choosing what comes by text

While Text alerts are on, two alerts have their own switch:

New bookings: a text for each job Sarah books.
Weekly review: your calls, bookings and revenue, once a week.

These switches pick the channel, not whether the alert exists. Anything you switch off still comes by email and in the app. Every other alert, including callbacks, urgent calls and payment problems, is always texted while Text alerts are on. There is no way to turn an alert off completely.

Your weekly summary

Your week goes out once a week, on Sunday, with your calls, bookings and revenue for the week. It is the only summary Ansa sends. It arrives by text if Text alerts and the Weekly review switch are both on, otherwise by email.

The revenue figure is an estimate, the same one as Recovered revenue on your Overview: calls that ended as Booked, times the Average job value on your Profile ($400 if you leave it blank).

The Notifications page

Open Notifications in the sidebar to see every alert, newest first. It shows your 50 most recent. Unread ones are marked, and Mark all as read clears them. Open an alert to jump to what it is about: the call, your Integrations, Billing, or What Sarah learned.

If an alert never reached your phone or inbox, this page is the first place to check. See An alert didn't reach my phone.
