The checklist
Call your business number from another phone
Use a phone that isn't your business line. If you forward every call, your business phone doesn't ring and Sarah answers right away. If you forward only the calls you miss, let the business phone ring out, or decline the call. Sarah should answer and introduce herself as the AI assistant for your business. If you get your old voicemail, forwarding isn't on yet: see Sarah isn't picking up.
This is a real call. If you book something to test it, delete the appointment from your calendar or CRM afterward.
Turn on Text alerts
Go to Profile and switch on Text me alerts about my calls and bookings. Under Text me about, choose whether you want New bookings and the Weekly review by text. Anything you leave off still reaches you by email and in the app. Only the account owner can change this.
Check your two phone numbers
On Profile, check Mobile phonedigit by digit. Ansa doesn't verify it, so a typo means texts go nowhere. Urgent call texts go there too. If it's blank, nothing is texted: alerts about your calls come by email and in the app instead. Then check Emergency phone: when a caller has a real emergency, that's the number Sarah dials to put the call through to you. If it's blank, she dials your mobile.
Open the Calls page
Calls lists every call Sarah handled, grouped by day. Open one to see What Sarah did, the full transcript, and whether the booking reached your calendar or CRM. Reading your first few calls is the fastest way to spot a wrong price or a missing service.
Check Notifications
Every alert also lands on the Notifications page, newest first. If you ever miss a text or email, it's there.
Fix anything that sounded off
Prices live on Services & pricing, common questions on FAQ, opening times and the after-hours rule on Hours, and your service area on Profile. Saved changes apply on Sarah's next call. There is no publish button.
What you will hear from Ansa
You don't get a message after every call. You get one when something needs you or happened that you'd want to know about: a new booking, a caller who needs a call back, a new lead, a calendar or CRM that needs reconnecting, or a usage notice. Each Sunday you also get Your week, a weekly summary.
These come by text to your mobile when Text alerts are on and a Mobile phone is saved, otherwise by email to your account email. Urgent calls are different: Sarah tries to put the caller through to you, and you get an urgent alert (by text or email, the same way) so you can call straight back.
The first two weeks
Ansa reviews Sarah's calls every day for your first 14 days of reviewed calls, then weekly. What it finds shows up on What Sarah learned: questions callers asked that Sarah couldn't answer, and suggested updates to your FAQ and services. On Self-serve, nothing changes until you approve it. Answer what's there and Sarah uses it from her next call.
Your Overviewgives you the short version each time you open it: how many calls Sarah answered and how many jobs she booked in the last 24 hours, plus recent calls and today's bookings. Questions about anything you see: hello@tryansa.ai.
